Editorial design: Retail: Modern Retail ebooks
The story:
For the past year or so I’ve been designing ebooks for publishing company Modern Retail, through Warp Design
When initially creating the design style I had to bear in mind that it needed to be adaptable between two types of publications:
1. Sponsored ebooks – sponsored by Modern Retail’s clients, who use the ebooks as a vehicle to advertise their services
and
2. Topic led ebooks – written by Modern Retail with adverts supplied by advertisers.
This was done by adapting the footer to include the logo, changing the colours of intro paragraphs and quotes.
Text and images were supplied by the client and it was up to me to use them in the best way possible.
